Our 2024 Back to School Program was held at St. Michael’s Mgbokonta was mixed with fun as the children picked ballots to collect OVEF’s water bottles. This was necessary as the population exceeded the available bottles. There were happy cheers for those who picked a ‘Yes.’ Those who picked a ‘no’ were also happy for the lucky ones. A volunteer spoke to the students about the need to remian focused in their learning. In the end, one of the students thanked our volunteers for the visit.
Our 2023 annual ‘Back-to-School’ program, in which we supply students with necessary learning materials,was held at St. Ann’s Academy, Aba Abia State on September 29th. It was an amazing day for our volunteers, the school children and their teachers. One of our volunteers had the opportunity to remind the school children about the importance of studying properly for academic success. The school staff and children were great hosts to us. The programme ended with the distribution of learning materials to the school children, and their teachers.
The second phase of our back to school programme was held at St. Martin’s Early Learning Academy, Aba, Abia State on 4th October, 2023. An educationally-based talk was delivered by a volunteer, at the end of which learning materials were distributed to the students. It was another fulfilling day for our volunteers.
